Dear IMBA team,

We are writing to you in regards to recent events and as a consequence of the IE Management team decision to move all classes online until April 14. While We understand that it is under our best interest to follow the guidelines from the Spanish Government, and truly appreciate your efforts to maintain us well informed constantly and efficiently about the development of the issues around the COVID-19 virus, We (the students) are highly concerned with the quality of online classes as well as the fact that we have invested our time and money in a program that is based on face-to-face lectures and learning experiences. Although we know that IE is known for being a pioneer in the field of online education, the past couple of days have demonstrated that the quality and value of the classes directed online is far from that we receive with face-to-face lessons for a large variety of reasons. Moreover, we find that during this specific time ( lab period ), having a face-to-face learning and working experience is not just important but necessary for us to achieve the goals the program and us share in common. It is under these circumstances that we urge you to provide us with alternative solutions other than online classes as we firmly believe that we will not be getting the experience we so hard worked and paid for if this is to be continued. We understand the challenges associated with our request, but we also have strong confidence in the IMBA team to help us find an alternative solution that satisfies the different parties involved. We are open to hear the different solutions you may come up with, and would like to let you know some of the ones that have already been discussed by a vast part of the student body such as extending the program dates ( for those interested ), getting refunded for the time the online experience is kept, squeezing the learning into future dates ( weekends, elective period ... ) etc. Lastly, we would like to let you know that we are at your complete disposal for anything we can help you with in this regard.

Thank you in advance for your help, attention, and response.

The students.

We are approaching the 500 signature mark and need a final push to force a meeting with the administration. Take one minute right now to text three classmates this link and ask them to sign. The administration will have to listen once we hit this milestone.

The IMBA team has yet to offer a concrete alternative to these online classes. Send a direct email to the program directors today demanding a meeting to discuss our tuition value. Keep the pressure up until they provide real solutions instead of just pre-recorded content.

The Start up lab is really important to me, and it is the reason I came to ie. The quality of the lab experience so far, has been amazing. And it has lived up to my hopes for it, in so many ways. I understand that no one wanted this to happen, but the lab is really a highlight for me for the MBA, and I hope the school can take that into consideration when thinking about how to adjust the experience during this time. Ideally, it'll be great if we can somehow put a pause to it, and resume in a month

I agree, I would like to attend everything IE has to offer and the online without extracurricular activities is not what I signed up for. Online classes are way cheaper and I would have signed up for that if that’s what I was looking for. Please hear out the students alternatives.

IMBA Office - All students but especially those who are dual degrees are losing a tremendous amount of value from the program. Both in group work, networking, and presentations. The school should find a way to adjust tuition to reflect the service students are now receiving, which is different than what had been elected.

Dear IMBA team We understand the magnitude of the problem, but as it says we have paid for a face to face program in order to increase our soft and hard skills beyond learning concepts. Unfortunately the online classes are not what we have expected so far, and we are worry about our return on investment. We kindly ask Administration to reconsider the plans that have been implemented as the disastifaction of IE students is a reflection of the university.

We are paying for an 11 month mba and the take home and online exams defeat the purpose of competition in an mba

Not the MBA I paid for. I suggest postponing the MBA allowing us to get the quality education we paid for. Or a refund.

Online classes IE provides are terrible because of camera, microphone and the way the professor teaches.
