I've seen other parts of the country - even the tree lines of great Smoky Mountains - ruined by lowered air quality. My honeybees suffer enough from chemical pollution. What may have been caused by ignorance in other areas should not be duplicated by politics or greed here. Go a few more miles and bring this to an industrial area!

I built a home in Blanchard because of its clean environment. Since then we have endured multiple unavoidable smoke issues. I do not want anymore air quality problems that the Hi Test plant will emit.

We moved here to get away from the big city, pollution and noise, and this Smelter threatens all of that. We used our life savings to buy our property and if this smelter goes forward we would have additional trucks driving right by our house daily as we apparently are located right across from where the access road would be. The increase in noise and air pollution would potentially force us to move. My husband is an asthmatic which is just one more reason. It's time that citizens and residents are the priority over big business.

We spent all our retirement and savings to buy and develop our dream property and establish our non-profit animal rescue. I am a life long asthmatic. We moved away from city life to live in a beautiful rural area surrounded by wildlife. This Smelter puts everything we worked for, my health, and our property at risk. The additional Trucks passing our property daily will add to the noise pollution. We are on a well and our water could be at risk. This is no place for such a project. Local small business expansion will add to community and provide jobs anyone can apply for. The Smelter will take away from community, displace wildlife, create noise pollution, and potentially pollute our air and water supply. The jobs offered will mostly be filled by people brought into the area and those that remain only few would be qualified for. If this smelter comes to fruition we may be forced to sell and we would lose everything we have spent a lifetime working for.

Please reconsider an industrial area. Not our rural acre neighborhoods.

It is frustrating to me to think that Washington can impose this tragedy on Idaho residents without us, the Idaho resident being protected by our State Government

This smelter will force my family out of the area. I just bought a home here due in large part to the unpolluted environment.

We must stop choosing profit before people and the environment. The health of everyone in the area--human, animal, plant, water, land and air--is of more value than the silicon. No smelter!

I oppose this smelter going in because of the negative health effects it will have on the families living in the area. We just moved to Bonner County this year and are very frustrated about the potential threat to our health and the future resale value of our land.
