As a rural citizen who has grown up surrounded in nature, blessed with an incredible land to maintain and enjoy, I see it imperative that we block the establishment of any corporate influences in our community so we can withhold our integrity, and, our land.

TOTALLY AGAINST the HiTest Silicon Smelter (or any other smelter). It will have a significantly negative impact on our health, our community and our way of life. HiTest has already set their precedent on deceitful and irresponsible business practices in the way they acquired the land and their half truths shared about environmental impact. The argument about jobs and money to be injected into the economy are moot as the destruction of our local environment and detriment to our health health are not worth the small (if any) economic gain.

I do not know how this kind of business got any kind of hold in our beautiful area. It will negatively effect the health of people, animal, and plant life if it goes in. Back off and find an uninhabited area.
