The Inverness College Students' Association has created this petition in response to the 20% cut the Inverness College Board of Management have imposed on the Further Education Bursary.

-------------------------------------------

The NUS-Scotland 'Still in the Red' report found:

>36% of students consider dropping out, 89% of these are because of the financial strain.

>62% of students believe lack of money impacts on their studies.

>One in three people know somebody who has dropped out due to financial strain.

Thus, Bursary is key to enabling students to get the education they deserve and if we are prevented from attending, not only will it be detrimental to us, it will also be detrimental to local businesses and future students.

-------------------------------------------

If you feel that the current cut to the Further Education Bursary will directly affect students’ ability to complete their course, please enter your name below - thank you!

Ridiculous to cut funds when people are already struggling to get by. How are they supposed to finish their course now?

Trying to better ourselves and get a qualification but they just keep making it harder. Dont do this to us.
