This petition is addressing the issue that there are no adequate BMX parks in the reasonable proximity of the Ahwatukee Foothills area (Phoenix, Arizona 85048). Please note that there are several skate parks vs. only one BMX park even available within an hour drive. With the exception of Mesa Reeds skate park which allows both skaters and BMXers (still too far to drive for the average Ahwatukee resident). With rising gas prices and limited time, these BMX parks are very difficult to utilize. I strongly suggest that out of equal opportunity, there needs to be a bike park built in the Ahwatukee Foothills area. Please act soon because as the popularity of BMX continues to grow, so will the typical bike spots such as local gas stations, grocery stores, neighborhoods, restaurants, and parks Please support putting a BMX park in the Desert Foothills Park in Ahwatukee!
