Troy Anthony Davis has spent 19 years on death row in the US for a crime he has always said he did not commit.

No physical evidence links Troy to the crime. 7 out of 9 witnesses on whose evidence Troy was convicted in 1991 have since changed or retracted their testimony.

In June 2010, Troy was given an opportunity to present new evidence that could prove his innocence at a hearing in Savannah, Georgia. However, despite doubts about his guilt, the judge ruled against Troy putting him back on track for execution.
