Hey guys its Jayar, the project developer of this petition. Just had chime in and say you guys have done a phenomenal job with supporting me and our sponsors. As we push this initiative toward state-to-state "Pardoning Reform". As of recent I've spoken indirectly, to a few eminent figures in the Political game and they definitely the isopolity and conscious effort in this possible becoming (Bill) down on Capitol Hill. Guys there was a bit of a Technical issue with the dashboard of this website, so I couldn't comment on the huge ground we've covered with your support. Proud to say, as of the summer of 2018 (Gov. Wolf of Pennsylvania) heard about the petition and the impact toward change it was making, and show his support. His support was express by becoming the first governor, to adopt our perspective by inducing the [CLEAN SLATE ACT]. Interestingly enough, what this bill does in its entirety is it allow offenders who've been trouble free for 10 years. To have their non violent offenses "SEALED" which isn't quite Expungement however, with more states to cross its a great start. Kindest Regards, Mr. Rupert Jr... Please say the JR

Possible solution: 1. First time non-violent offenders : less than or equal to 5 years 2. Second time non-violent: double the minimum (10 years) etc etc. - The severity and frequency of the non violent crime should be factored in. - It is absurd to have a fixed number (20 years minimum) for every single non-violent offender. This is a perfect example of an inefficient System. -Also, Scripture says forgive 70*7 times not once every 20 years. Lol.

It should at least be a 10-20 year waiting period, not 70 years. Most people would be either dead or dying by then.

There are way too many people who are behind bars that may have been wrongly convicted or they may have committed the crime and realized their mistake and has accepted their fate and all they want to do is see their families again.

These laws aren't even realistic. Maryland needs to catch up with the times and fix this.
