Spearing is no longer a "way of life." Laws must adapt but as we all know that takes time. This is a perfect opportunity to step in that direction, laws reflecting the majorities opinion.

I would think that any person, company, or government official that cares about tourism would be against spearing; especially on Lake St. Clair. There are thousands of musky fishermen that have been making multiple annual trips to fish LSC.

spearing is killing our brood stock populations, and does not make sense. These Muskies and us anglers that fish for them have a quite viable ecological effect on them practicing catch and release, and then someone spears the brooder you worked so hard to C&R .... It makes me wanna vomit.

Make an annual week long trip to go Musky fishing on the St. Clair. If this were opened up to spearing I am not sure how many more years I would make it back knowing Spear Fishers will all but decimate the populations. The numbers of fish and the size of the fish and fishery are what keeps me coming back. Don't ruin this for everybody
