I support the spearing ban on LSC and would like to see more strict harvest regulations for muskellunge on all other Michigan waters

As a Lake Skegemog homeowner for over 23 years I know the numbers of fish per acre in the Lower Chain. To intentionally kill these magnificent fish is heartbreaking and detrimental to the future of the species in the chain. Please close these waters to spearing.

The CHAIN management policy should be NO SPEARING. "To hunt something to near extinction is a crime against science."

i do not beleve in spearing any thing. why not catch it rod and reel makes for better trophy in my thinking. i would be ashamed to spear anything. but thats just my opinoin

the majority of legal size muskies are 10-15 years of age, the trophy sized fish are 20+. This puts a big damper on the reproduction rates of this species. Not to mention, fish this age have bioaccumulate so many pcb's and Mercury they are not safe to eat. I don't see one single reason to have As spearing season at all.
