Physical Therapists Opposed to OrthoNet Business Practices

The treatment of the pts will be delayed with OrthoNet. Not a good idea.

Our patients care comes first. No to OrthoNet.

I say NO to OrthoNet.

Lets just do what is right for the patients. Keep the middleman out.

This is ridiculous I've suffered a stroke in 1982 and now I have Alzheimers . I need this therapy so I don't suffer any more falls.

OrthoNet does not perform real medical review OrthoNet engages in arbitrary and capricious review with the intent of denying and rationing medically necessary services There is strong evidence from other states where OrthoNet operates that the above is true, which will be provided shortly Patients deserve access to the medical services they signed up for and are paying for There should be no rush to approve this scheme without full disclosure and presentation of the facts. This is just another way of a huge insurer tring to micromanage treatment.

Patients are paying services and deserve the right to medical care they've paid for..

I strongly oppose Anthem-OrthoNet relationship.

Physical Therapists are educated and trained to evaluate and assess patients' need for rehabilitation; we legally have direct access to patients because we have been deemed to be experts. It is NOT appropriate for insurance companies to be deciding what is best for patients.

MDs and PTs are the ones who should determine medical necessity of therapy... NOT a third party

Patients NEED their physical therapy and they deserve to get help, they are paying for the services. This is absurd.

OrthoNet will subject patients to delays in getting care and ration care by potentially denying care that the physical therapist and physician recommend. This is not good for patients who need physical therapy. As a member of Anthem, this is and a member of the health care field, this is very frustrating and I'd like those who have a direct contact with my case to determine my care.

The OrthoNet group is trying to come "on-board" in California. History shows how bad they are for both the patients and the clinicians trying to help them regain function.

We as patients and are paying for our insurance(highly) deserve the services that we are prescribed by our doctors and need so desperately.

OrthoNet will subject patients to delays in getting care and ration care by potentially denying care that the physical therapist and physician recommend. This relationship will make it more difficult for therapists to provide care to our patients without delays and create an extra layer of unnecessary paperwork for the provider. While this is cumbersome to the provider, it is ultimately not good for patients.

I object to the implementation of the Anthem-OrthoNet relationship. The processes that will be required are a disservice to patients in terms of possible delays in treatment and denial of benefits that are included in the policy. It, also, adds an unnecessary and unpaid for administrative burden to Physical Therapy facilities.
