Rutledge decided not to comment on her interpretation of this act until after this case had run its course. Politicians do this so as not to impede justice in cases. While I support the act, I do not plan to open carry as I believe it impedes the course of every day life. You set yourself up for failure when you open carry and give anyone wishing to impose their will upon you, whether they do it with another gun or just a well place kick to the groin, as they can see you brandishing your weapon. Concealed carry gives you the element of surprise, which in a life threatening event is something you will wish you had. The charges brought against Richard, whether correct or not, have been upheld in the due course of the law and under review of a judge. The charges were only a misdemeanor. This case if appealed has to go to circuit before it can be put before the supreme court. The chances of it surviving to this level is very minute. As stated yesterday it is upon the discretion of each policing agency as to what they will or will not allow. Even if the law states a particular opinion, it is upon the enforcing agency to decide as to what they will allow. Each city, county and state police agency has their own set of rules that allow them to enforce those rules, and it has nothing to do with state or federal law. Those rules are set in place to guard the public and those officers, but you will be set forth in front of a local judge who will use past cases and local laws to uphold what those officers charge you with. What really happened in your case cannot be determined by a tiny portion of video as it does not explain everything that occurred during the event. I find it hard to believe that their judgement was so discolored that they did not have reason to arrest you. If you had left the premises and been forthright with the officers that were dispatched, relinquished your weapon if asked and not been confrontational I am sure most of this could have been

Well! I would be embarrassed if I were you. I sure hope your summer vacation was nice. I bet you never once thought about him, did you? Or his family? Or the people you very obviously lied to, to get the votes you needed to get that nice, cushy job - that paid for that vacation...And now, everybody knows. Shame on you.

He did Not violate any law. He stayed honest from the start. The chief of police should be sued for false arrest. The AG confirmed open carry is legal.

I believe that no man should be falsely arrested due to the ignorance of those that are there to protect and serve. Total disregard to Act 746.

It's a travesty that Richard's constitutionally protected rights, and all of ours, has been trampled on by people who swore an oath to uphold the constitution. Deprivation of Rights under the color of law is illegal, and charges should be brought up against those willing to do it. It is nothing short of Treason against this country.
Please help us
