This idea is a great one. I am not a retired veteran so have no personal benefit from it.

I've lived in VT my whole life and served 32 years in the military. Having my retirement taxed was a HUGE reason I moved to Florida and sold everything I owned in VT. Sorry...this is simply WRONG!

I served while living in Vermont. Please consider leaving their retirement alone.

Retired military folks deserve something in return for putting their lives on the line for state and country. Now is the time to make their retirement pay tax free as it is in many other states.

Vermont has taken taxes from veterans for years...isn't it time for the legislature to consider supporting those veterans who have given their best to the State?

After twenty years of service, as an E-6, former Crew Chief, of UH-1H helicopters, that saved life's, to include the train Wreck in Essex, and numerous other occasions. We all did our part as citizen soldiers, I get a check for less than Five hundred dollars, it all goes to pay my taxes. after taxes are taken out!

We have seen many retired military friends move from their Vermont homes to relocate in states where there is no tax on their military retirement. Moving out of state after retiring is a consideration for our family as well due to the high rate of taxes.
