This only makes sense, if we truly care about our Veterans. Pass this bill!

Long over due, this would help us veterans be able to afford to stay here after retirement.

Kiplinger magazine lists VT as one of the worst stars in which to retire. Passage of this bill would at least make VT appealing to military retirees who are for the most part still looking to work because they are in their 40’s when retiring.

Passage of H-846 has great potential for impacting Vermont’s diminishing workforce. Several of my retired military friends and acquaintances have declined to move to Vermont after researching and learning we are one of the few states taxing their retirement. They moved to the cold weather states of NY and NH. These are high tech, extremely skilled individuals with their health care and low burden on services. Instant home buyers and diligent, loyal workers.

Bringing highly trained US Military service member into our State is valued added to the work force. This only makes sense to the on going economic recovery of Vermont. Legislators sign on to this one and "bet on a vet" !!! You always win.

I’m a retired MSG (E8). It would be nice and would be essential to keep me and all of my retirements in Vermont. What would you rather do? Exempt my Military retirement or lose $6000.00/mo when I move to Florida?

This bill "846" is needed to keep our military retirees in the State of Vermont. As a USAF retiree I have been contemplating moving out of state because of the high cost of living!

Please pass this law to assist retired veterans in and returning to Vermont after their service to increase workforce development. Surround states have done this and VT needs to.

I am in full support of this bill so Vermont doesn't loose more retiring veterans to other states that give this exemption.

This is a great way to show support for the military and what they sacrifice for the public.

Military Retirees should NOT have to pay state income taxes on their pensions. These are the people who make our freedoms possible. They don't make a lot of money to begin with. This is the LEAST that Vermont can do, like other states. We are considering moving out of state for the very reason of state income tax when we retire.

This action will directly support the administration work on economic development for the State of Vermont. It will draw trained Veterans to the State.
