Instead of offering money to non-Vermonters move here, let's pass this bill to keep our Vermont Veteran a Vermonter.

34 years served. As soon as My children graduate from college I’m moving to a state that doesn’t tax my military retirement

People are still leaving. You need to stop the bleeding so people will stay although this alone will not do it.

Hearing Governor Scott's address this week was refreshing. The sound reinvestment in the State's Economic infrastructure and providing a motivating factor for veterans to stay and or return to the State is very helpful. Legislators supporting reversing the outflow of the talented work force need to get on board with the economic stability of Vermont. Tax exemption for retired military is both respectful to service and a sound investment in circulating commerce.

As a native Vermonter, I returned to Vermont upon discharge and I have been working here and paying taxes for 41 years. I am considering leaving the state - there is no incentive to stay.
