Leave him there to die. He took that young beautiful black girl away from her family due to her skin tone for no justified reason. Let him rot and may the last thing he see is 3 white walls along with the white ceiling over his head.

Russell was married to my daughter she was his first wife he was in the military at Fort Gordon Georgia I've only known Russell to be a kind person I have a grandson by him by the grandson has two children a son and a daughter that Russell has never gotten to see I think they he should be set free so that he can get to know his children and his grandchildren all over again I think he has been punished enough

If he is such a changed man why doesn't this petition talk about how sorry he is that he MURDERED Felicia Houston. Her name is no where in here. Are you unable to acknowledge her because it feels as if she never lived anyway due to the fact that she was A CHILD?

Russell Hinson brutally MURDERED A CHILD and should serve his sentence. He was sentenced to life in prison and will not suffer the consequences of his actions until he has finished serving his sentence. As a taxpayer I do not see his time in prison as a burden. It is scary that you believe he should be released into the same support network that helped to create the man that he has become. He should live in the same house with his father who has also been a member of the KKK (and still might be)? Thank GOD he has not been released and I pray he never will be.

since mr. hinson has "found" god.. he should abide by the teachings in the bible "an eye for an eye" he should be set free .. but only after he watches one of his loved ones .. shot thru the heart with a steel tipped arrow.

And actually he has not served his time yet. He was given a life sentence, which was more than he gave to his victim.

I say HInson should be able to get out as soon as his victim can climb out of her grave. Otherwise keep in in there. If he's found god, he'll understand that he has to take responsibility for what he did.

He hasn't served his time. The sentence he received upon taking Felicia's life was "life" and he should do that. There are plenty of ways he can be a valuable and productive member of society behind bars. Perhaps he could counsel racists.

Sorry I cannot in good faith sign this petition, the thought of anyone callously killing a young girl as response to someone else's actions is beyond belief - this man should just rest in jail but thank his God every day that he did not get the death penalty, which would have happened in many, many places. He is alive, to breathe air and read a book or listen to great music when they allow in jail, he still has more life than he allowed that poor little girl ! How has he got the gall to even ask for leniency ! His release is unimportant, and should not be given to him until his time is actually done. I think life in prison should mean life in prison - all your life, there are many black prisoners with long sentences for trivial crimes compared to this monster. Just be thankful you have been given a life at all !!!!!

"Paw-paw" should have done thought of that before he went and killed someone irretrievably. He's still in his daughters' lives, just in prison. And even God's Word says he should stay there, as in 1 Peter 2:13-17, Romans 13:1-7, Titus 3:1-2. Paying my taxes are no burden on me as long as racist killers like this stay incarcerated. So he's completed TRADE CLASSES, so WHAT? Get back to me when he's completed ANTI-RACISM classes. Get back to me when he STICKS UP for people who are not of the same racial heritage as he is, SAVES their lives, helps them, teaches them. THAT would be true reform for this person. Not some stupid metalworking class.
