The citizens of the community have spoken through a fair and impartial jury selected by both the prosecution and the defense. After hearing the entire story, the vast majority of jurors believed that Officer Kerrick is not guilty of Voluntary Manslaughter

It is extremely obvious that Ferrell ran for Kerrick and that a struggle ensued. Had the officer not fired his gun during the struggle, Ferrell would have likely taken charge of the gun and shot Kerrick and other officers as well. Not guilty!!

Please consider denying any attempts to retry Officer Randall Kerrick. It is clear from the evidence presented in court that the officer did NOT simply shoot Jonathan Ferrell in "cold blood" as many had first alleged, but acted prudently based upon the information received from the 911 operator and upon the actions of Mr. Ferrell, corroborated by the video evidence,

after seeing that dash camera I trulybeleive kerrick had to fight for his life the man charged after him can't ur body b a weapon too? What did u xpect him to do let the guy hurt or kill him. Please let us not go thru this again. We need to heal and move on.

Regardless at the time that this subject ran at, towards Officer Kerrick and slamming him down on the ground there was some sort of struggle and as much as people want to disagree if in fact there was a struggle for the officer's firearm or in any way an attempt of the subject to resist or try to harm the officer, the officer as would any human being, individual in that type of fight, struggle do what would then be necessary to win or survive the fight. Lesson, do as police tell or instruct you, do not run at, attack or fight with an armed police officer who has the right, authority to stop you, from further heightened danger

I believe justice has been served in the Kerrick trial, and to have another trial at the cost of taxpayers is uncalled for. The media has said if another trial is held it will be the very same evidence that was presented to the first jury and they were very diligent in their study of all the evidence presented in the trial. I see no excuse for the cost of another trial or for putting the two families through the stressful event of yet another trial. I am a christian and I truly believe from the dash cam video of the officer's car and the testimony of officer Kerrick that he was justified in his actions as a police officer, and was indeed in fear for his life and/or that of the other two officers. The few seconds the officer had from the time the suspect started charging the officer and reached the officer did not allow time for premeditating the murder of the suspect.I feel officer Kerrick is truthful in his testimony .

This had nothing to do with Monroe retiring?..Right, he knew his decision was wrong...but instead of backing Kerrick an dealing with the public...he charged him an then bailed out...even the protesters want to know where he is...Kerrick did exactly what he was trained to do. Innocent...no retrial.

This was a tragic event no law enforcement officer ever wants to be involved in. The facts were submitted to the jury and the majority of the jury voted to acquit. The attorney general should respect their decision.

Two years and two court appearances later, this officer is yet again not unanimously found guilty. It's time to allow both families to heal and move past this tragedy.
