Speaking as a retired LEO with over 30 years on the job I see no reason to retry officer Kerrick. His actions were clearly within his right to protect himself and others from serious bodily injury. We have wasted enough taxpayer money on a pc trial that never should have occurred in the first place.

Officer Kerrick was performing the job that he was trained to do. Both he and his family have endured enough.

As ret Law Enforcement officer and following the trial, and the jury with a 8 to 4 deadlock, I really think the cost to the tax payers would not worth it. If was 6/to 6 then yes.

No second trial

The police department tried to make him A scapegoat. There was not enough evidence for him to be charged.

No retry this officer ...CMPD is using him as an escape goat! Ferrel family will not be happy with any decision other than guilty ... The verdict has been given....

This officer was doing his job protecting and serving our community. He has the right to protect himself from grave bodily injury or death. He does not deserve to be retried the jury's decision should be upheld.

Not Guilty would have been the most appropriate verdict since Ofc. Randall Kerrick was just doing his job two years ago when this tragedy happened.! No need to try this case again, because the evidence is overwhelmingly supportive of Kerrick's testimony, and the other two officers eye witness account that were there that night too.!

you will never find twelve jurors that will agree to convict based on the evidence presented. Stop wasting tax dollars to make a political statement.

This never should have went to trail the first time. Enough money has been spent pandering to political bullies, please stop the madness.

Justice does not always equal a guilty verdict; it is becoming increasingly difficult for law enforcement to do their jobs.

Kerrick is not guilty in my opinion. Should have never been put on trial.

I do not want the Attorney General to retry Officer Kerrick. He was doing his job and I do not feel this would have happened had Ferrell obeyed the officers' commands.
