I did 22 years in NCDOC and iam currently on Parole. ( 2nd degree murder) . I worked for ( MEDIC) as a EMT. This man should have never been tried to start with. It was a Lawful act .tre trial. Freed this officer.

Officer Kerrick was in fear of his life and should never have been tried at all.

Officer Kerrick should have not been charged to begin with. This officer did what he had to in order to save his life and of fellow officers.

Enough is enough. To pursue a retrial would give the impression that "justice" is shopping with a mans life until you find a verdict that suits you or suits an agenda.

He was doing his job. Anyone would have done the same given the circumstances.

When Ferrell charged at the officer, the officer then had a right to protect himself. Especially after Ferrell tried to kick the door in at the home previously. People know not to charge at police officers and accept what happens if they do.

I support the facts in this sad case. A two to one vote by a jury of peers said that they could not convict. Please uphold the legal process and not the beliefs of people who wanted a conviction no matter what.

The. Protesters argure that only with a conviction will justice be served. It's not a race issue with drugs found in Ferrel. If don't want confrontation with police, don't break the law. Seems like more and more, anything is ok in our great country. The family has already been compensated financially which was a mistake in my opinion!

We know now a lot about Kerrick but we still don't know nothing about Ferrel. My opinion he was trublemaker and he fainly find what he was looking for. Kerrick forever!

It is my prayer that you will not cave in and retry Mr Kerrick. For whatever reason Mr Ferrell did not obey the commands of officers that night. The result was deadly but I do not believe criminal. The situation now in my opinion is all about race and not about the facts.

It seems like the criminals are getting the edge on the officers, and that is a shame.
