He was doing his job the way he was taught and defending himself from what he thought was a person who tried to break a woman's door down,he really didn't know if the guy was armed, but he could have been killed regardless by the man even without a gun.

Any reasonable man would have done the same thing in if put in that position. The jury spoke in favor of officer Kerrick by a majority vote.
