this is a crock of crap. He charged the officer and it is plainly visible.

I support officer Kerrick! He should have never been charged, CMP threw him under the bus. Hope he sues the City of Charlotte and the state of NC.

This officer instructed the suspect to STOP, instead he RAN toward him,and sure he was in fright for his LIFE. He was sent there to protect a citizen who was in dire duress. Certainly hope they fine public servant Kerrick will NOT Be RECHARGED.

I'm sorry for the horrible situation that Officer Kerrick faced on that fateful night, but he has every right to defend himself. I support this petition asking the Attorney General to not retry Officer Kerrick.

This cop was doing HIS JOB...he was defending himself and I don't understand why the City of Charlotte and his fellow officers threw him under the bus....wasting taxpayer money and a lot of TIME. Its time black folks starting showing respect for the law and our police officers...THIS COP DID HIS JOB...stop wasting our money on a circus...GET that extortion money back from the family...never should have been a trial in the first place.

only used enough force to counter act the force being applied to protect himself as well as fellow officers

He has had his day in court. His Chief abandoned him. His city convicted him prematurely and paid their politically correct settlement, but in a court of law, even after they threw everything but the kitchen sink at this guy, they still couldn't convict him. Rightfully so. It's over. Move on.

Self defense law in NC is there for a reason. No probable cause for the charges against Kerrick to begin with!!

Never should have even went to trial the first time. The first grand jury wouldn't indict him, so they kept going until they got what they wanted.
