I feel Officer Kerrick truly thought his life was in danger. There was testimony stating this guy had been drinking and smoking pot. Who knows how that will effect his judgement, obviously not to good or he would not have charged Officer Kerrick. In my opinion the City of Charlotte threw Officer Kerrick under the bus giving the family the money they did before the trial even started. And, Rodney Monroe conveniently retiring 2 weeks before the trial started. What does that tell everyone. This entire fiasco has been a shame and disgrace to the entire police force everywhere and to Officer Kerrick.

I believe the officer was doing what was necessary to defend his life, and should be found innocent of all charges .

This is the most obsurd use of the political correct card I have seen in my 14 years in law enforcement. They should of listened to the people of the Grand Jury.

Not Guilty!!! And should have not been charged. I think that it's a disgrace that the AG's office is trying this officer. They absolutely lied during the trial and the prosecutors who presenter this case should be fired.

No need for another trial. There was actually no need for this one. When someone charges an officer of the law, the end result can't and shouldn't be very good.
