Officer Kerrick was doing his job and acting as his training had taught him to do; not to mention that he feared for his life. Had Mr. Ferrell followed the numerous direct orders given to him by the officers, this wouldn't be an issue and he would still be alive. I support Officer Kerrick 100%. He is NOT GUILTY! He should be reinstated to his position and paid his back salary for time missed, as well as the City of Charlotte should pay for all of his legal expenses incurred. God bless Officer Kerrick, his family and all LEOs.

This is clearly a case of self defense where an officer was protecting his life. Shame on the AG's Office for prosecuting this.
