When Officer Kerrick put on his uniform that day he had no intention to hurt anyone he just went out to protect the community. I have investigated numerous police shootings. In a stressful situation where an officer has to use deadly force to stop the suspect the officer usually cannot tell the exact number of shoot fired. They usually underestimate the number of rounds fired. Officer Kerrick was responding to a potential life threading call and if the suspect didn't charge the officer I wouldn't be sending this email. I also believe the Chief of Police over reacted and he should have had his dept conduct a complete investigation instead of arresting Officer Kerrick the next day.

Great guy I worked with him at Bass Pro. Wes did what he had to do unfortunately that led to the death of another human. He always used to talk about how ready he was to get on the police dept. I stand behind Officer Kerrick and there's a lot more that should also, this isn't a race issue it's an issue of obeying and respecting law enforcement. Hopefully good judgement is used to whoever has this young mans future in their hands.

Officer Kerrick and his family have been through enough already.
I believe before the trial, the jurors should have been made to go through a deadly force simulator. They can't be a jury of his peers unless they've walked a mile in his shoes.

I feel like it's a waste of taxpayer money! Lawyers on both sides picked the jury and the family has been paid off before the trial ! This would be an extremely waste of taxpayers money.
