People should have the right to disagree with others, especially when they do so in a civil manner. And no one should have the right or power to ruin another's life because of said disagreement.

Absolutely disgraceful. These people think they are above the law, and morally infallible, purely because the loudest people in the argument are on their side. I should hope that they suffer sever repercussions for this frivolous assault on the poor guy's honour, but from previous cases, this is unlikely.

Another example of a small group of women stating they speak for all of us and their views couldn't be farther from the truth. I wish they would spend their effort of real issues like women in other countries who don't have rights! They are so spoiled.

What an accurate show of how we've come so far to reach a perfect balance in free speech for society to be pushed over the other side of the line by people who play victim inhibiting free speech once again. Things may be better than they were 40 years ago, but we still have a long way to go.

This man is being wrongly persecuted. He has done nothing wrong except exercise his ancient common law right to freedom of expression. If Mr. Elliot loses this case, we all lose, regardless of our political ideologies.

This case is wrong on so many levels. Being arrested and having your life potentially ruined because you disagree with someone is insane and totalitarian.
