Disagreeing and arguing with someone opinions or views online or offline is not a valid reason to charge said person of harassment with three years trial and 100000$ legal fees. One should not be allowed to talk bad things about another person (even if it is true) and expect to be able to charge anyone that disagree with their opinions or views to be charged with harassment. If they should be allowed to do so, then there is no point in debating or having a democracy because you are allowed to charged the opposing party with a harassment lawsuit just for disagreeing with your point. This court case is the evidence of injustice in the justice department. Please stop tarnishing the name of law and justice.

I would donate, but I'm skint. this case will be significant in future. a win for Gregory here will be a win for all of us who feel that free speech should be a universal right.

This case could set a dangerous precedent for Canadian Freedom of Expression if Gregory is actually convicted. A shame that the "activists" and the prosecutor who took this case will likely not face consequences for abuse of the legal system.

This case is a travesty. I really hope that Mr. Elliot gets some justice for having his rights and livelihood infringed. I shudder to think of what his being found guilty would mean to future legal precedence. More likely it seems that Ms. Guthrie and her co-horts are simply gaming the system to give him grief. The fact that this is possible on this level proves the legal system of Canada needs reform.
