Our codes are already overly restrictive and expensive to comply with. REJECT this new set of codes and look for ways to reduce the cost of building. Increase development fees if needed

Please arrange for more open houses and neighborhood meetings -- at a variety of times of day -- to enable informed public discussion of the proposed code changes, BEFORE those changes are approved by the City Council.

We have a right as homeowners to vote on this.

These code revisions are being rushed through, they have not been communicated well, they are not well thought out, they will devalue our properties and they're overly restrictive. Let's slow this down and do it right. Not rush it thru and then give this mess to future councils and building officials to unwind.

Do not do this. It is hurtful and unfair.

We already face giant property tax increases due to mammoth property value increases, making many seniors think twice about continuing to live here. Do not use the property tax levies to add hurtful and penalizing expenses to living here.

From the bridge fiasco to town development to the parks. This council has done everything backwards and not in the interest of most M I residents and property owners

Any code changes and effects on private property usage should be fully explained to all property owners prior to passage.

No changes to residential code that will restrict new revenue! And NO new taxes to homeowners!!!!!

Greater restrictions equal less tax revenue and higher costs for businesses and residents.

Code changes should be tabled until the new council is elected. The fact that our city if in the red under the current economic environment is an indication that we need to reconsider the current approach.
