This is a freedom of speech issue: The Supreme Court has already ruled that “Symbolic Speech”—a legal term in U.S. law—is protected under the First Amendment; examples of such rulings would be that pertaining to flag-burning and the Tinker v. Des Moines case.

Joe prayed alone it was the students that joined him. Everything was voluntary and it demonstrates good sportsmanship.

I'm not sure who the school district is listening to giving them legal advice that they would have a solid case for firing Coach Kennedy, but I think they ought to get a second legal opinion. And then retract their demands and issue an apology. No wonder we have such a problem with bullies in our schools, when the schools themselves bully like this.

The school's actions are a direct assault on everything our ancestors fled to America for in the first place. The Constitution gives us rights Bremerton High School cannot take away.

I will no longer support any school levy or any requests for more money for schools because of this and other liberal
