Christians are being offended every day but school officials don't seem to mind that. Thanks to teacher unions we are raising children without any values of honor or merit.

As a retired school teacher I am saddened about what is happening to Coach Joe's religious freedom. Historically our schools taught from the Bible and Pilgrim's Progress as Of course, I wouldn't have Joe's nerve to pray on a football field but more power to him being a light in a darkened world.

Prayer and reading the Bible used to be a part of school. We should return to that. Since the 10 Commandments are nolonger taught in school, violence and bullying have increased.

I hope coach Kennedy wins a million dollar lawsuit - that is the only this Leavell will understand. He obviously has no moral conscious. The school board needs to review his contract because I don't think this is just going to go away.

We are not only raising a generation of 'orchids' as Joseph writes, but a generation of cowards also. See the definition below which is exactly what those administrators who fear a lawsuit are, and also those who think they are "courageous" when all they are truly doing is going along with the larger culture in regards to many things including, in this case, a man exercising his CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to freedom of expression and, yes, religion.

It is a human necessity to express gratitude for "that which is greater" within each of us. I support Coach Kennedy's expression of gratitude. His CHOICE of how and where to express it, is his most personal learning.
