Make The Rec Center Climbing Gym Big Enough

Do it right while expanding, the need is there!

If we are going to do it, we should do it correctly!

Please make the climbing wall as big as possible. Please also make the wall represent the types of rocks and climbing in the area. I want a climbing gym where I can practice the same type of climbing that I would do out side.

Let’s do this one right the first time Teton County!! Keeping our youth and athletes safe means having state of the art equipment for learning and improving and fine tuning the skills! In this case, BIGGER is not just better, but absolutely imperative!

I would pay more money for the rec centers services if the rock climbing area was larger.

Climbing is intimidating, but climbing gyms provide an accessible entry point into this outdoor sport that is central to the Jackson community heritage. Not only is this a key community service for all, but if you observe the demographics of who uses the rec center you will notice who many Latino families use the rec center facilities. A climbing gym large enough to support the needs of the Jackson community would also be a key step for diversity, equity and inclusion in the outdoors.

Plz make gym bigger! Pretty please! We have such an active climbing community here and no indoor gym to accommodate such a growing need. Thank you!!

The Enclosure set a standard that fit the community at that time. The community has grown, will continue to grow, and doing something less than 10,000 ft. would be meagerly checking a box. At least meet the standard or get creative in fundraising to raise the bar for this worthy public investment. Great work to all those working on making this happen!

Climbing is a rich part of Jackson Hole’s history and culture. We should support it into the future.

This will be an amazing resource for so many residents of Jackson as well as visitors I’m sure

I fully support this initiative. Climbing is an important part of our community and offering adequate space that will obviously be a huge draw during our long winter months.

This appears to be our one chance to get a new gym in town, and the current design will not accomodate this town’s capacity for climbing enthusiasts. It would be great to think big in this one. Thanks
