Make The Rec Center Climbing Gym Big Enough

I urge our County parks and Rec to consider enlarging the size of the climbing gym. This will be a very heavily used space and therefore it is very important that it is built to handle it and allow it to be successful. It will require more space then planned to allow as much use as it will certainly attract.

Makes lots of sense to make it larger from the get go. Make in inclusive for all users.

Due to this climbing gym causing other commercial operators to abandon their plans to build in Jackson the community center must build a gym with sufficient size and route setting to serve the community otherwise it will have spoiled the communities opportunity for a proper climbing gym product.

Given the close proximity to the elementary school, public transit and the town core it is only reasonable to expect that usage and demand will substantially exceed levels seen at the Enclosure and the Teton Rock Gym before. An excellent facility will serve as a draw for community members and provide additional revenue for the rec center.

I'm not much of a climber but I know my daughters and many budding rock climbers would like to see the best quality facility this community can manage.

Would love nothing more than a climbing gym back in the hole!!! As someone who was born and raised here with a climbing indoor option, and then loosing the ability to do so. It has most certainly been a loss for our community. Would love to see a good indoor gym for us here!

The climbing community knows best what works with climbing gyms. I honor their input and support their push for getting it right. Thank you, decision makers, for your consideration.

A town with a history and culture in climbing needs a rock gym that signifies this importance. It is an easier cost to absorb up front then to need an expansion after the fact.

Do not underbuild this, as it will be a regret and costly redo later

Tetons a great place for climbing. Locals need a great gym for training and interaction.

I drive my son to the Driggs gym every week for the after school program. It would be awesome to have something local where he could continue to develop his skills.

I think this is the last and only chance for the climbing community to get a space big enough for there needs during the winter months (10). They will be loosing the boulder park soon due to the gondola at snow king.

Not only is a climbing gym a place to stay healthy and psyched, the climbing gym is a place of true community!!!
