At Saint Thomas Aquinas (STA) High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Lennon Haese has been bullied for a year by a fellow student, who also made false accusations that have negatively impacted Lennon's reputation. Interestingly, the school administration has decided to suspend Lennon and allow the bully to remain in school. The bully who happens to be a member on a undefeated STA team has had no repercussions. Every child needs to be protected from being bullied.

Public schools now have zero tolerance for bullying. We expect an even higher level of care for individual students at STA. Maybe this situation needs an external evaluation?
I have known Lennon for over two years and have found him to be a fine young man.. I know the details of the situation as I researched it and wrote the Arch Bishop. please reinstate Lennon at St Thomas. sincerely, John Meyer
I stand with Lennon! Lennon is my grandson and I know him, his character and his heart! He is the one being bullied and the school has decided NOT to protect him, and that is so wrong. Instead, they are protecting the one who IS the bully.
This whole situation just does not seem to have been handled properly. It is very disturbing that a student being bullied could end up being punished, when no disciplinary action at all is taken against the student guilty of the offenses. How can this be????
Please show concern and caring for ALL your students including Lennon Haese and look at the evidence which shows that the real bully is still in school and continues to bully others. Allow Lennon to return to school.
I do not condone how my school mates treated him, frankly bullying is just wrong. But i think what he used to do to other parents children was worse! I hope he changed.
I was a former friend. He was bullied because of the way he behaved back in school. He told me about the erotic things he liked to do to himself and others. Even his animals weren’t safe, his dogs and his cat. He needed counseling from a young age, and his parents did not provide that. In turn, he exposed other kids around his age to those very things possibly scarring them mentally, whether they know it or not. Overstimulation and permanent mental adversities, I’m sure he suffers from adhd I can’t diagnose him. Please watch what your kids do online parents, if you notice anything, communicate with them!

what happened to zero tolerence of bullying? Actions such as this will only cause students to remain silent and not report incidences of bullying. Suspending the victim while the bully goes unpunished doesn't seem like a good message to send to the students of your school.
