I went to a sacred heart school and this is so sad to hear. Even if the school doesn't agree she has a right to her own opinions and expression of her opinion- especially given the amazing work planned parenthood does for underprivileged women across the nation by providing cancer screenings, access to birth control, etc.

First, I firmly believe in our first amendment right and believe displaying a sticker on one’s private property falls within this right. Second, I believe all women have the right to reproductive and other women’s health care, and Planned Parenthood has been a leader in providing access to care to millions of women who can’t otherwise afford it.

As an alum, Im not surprised by CSH's pro-life stance. I am shocked, however, that in this day and age an institution committed to educating women would force those same young women to choose between their sociopolitical beliefs, and their education. My former high school is asking these ladies to choose between their friends, teachers and a school they love. Millions of low-income Americans depend on Planned Parenthood for a variety of services. It's shameful, and CSH is tarnishing it's own reputation by resorting to such intolerant measures.

Absolutely ridiculous! A student should be able to voice her support for an organization that makes reproductive healthcare accessible and affordable.

I am a current student at Sacred Heart and am appalled by the behavior of the school in regards to this issue. Kate -- remember your "sisters" stand behind you.

I am absolutely in shock that this is happening. I always brag about how CSH fostered an open mindedness and compassion that was unparalleled in other religiously affiliated schools I had encountered; this is certainly contrary to that.

Sacred Heart's values has taught me to be an independent, intelligent and strong minded individual. On the other hand, the school's reaction to this is hypocritical and shameful. Especially being an all girls school students should feel empowered and comfortable to express their beliefs.

This makes me angry beyond belief but I am not surprised. Kate I don't know you but keep wearing that sticker proudly. Educate the community on all the other amazing things that planned parenthood does for women's health - as well as the importance of autonomy over your own body, regardless of if someone else might disagree. Stay strong and don't let this regressive administration silence you. This is indicative of the school's unwillingness to accept open-mindedness and new ideas , NOT any fault of yours.
