It is unacceptable to expel a student because you don't agree with them.

I spent 4 years at Stamford Catholic High, graduating in 1971. I would have thought that in today's day & age there would be a RECOGNITION OF THE STUDENTS' RIGHT TO EXPRESS HER FREE SPEACH! Any other reaction is nothing short of UN-AMREICAN & trump like; completely unacceptable.

Backwards and absurd, especially for a school for girls.

Outraged that we even need to do this!!!

Seems like lessons in intolerance of differences of opinion and suppression of free speech are being taught. I trust it is unintended; merely a function of thoughtlessly quick overreaction and that, given further thought, the lessons will be un-taught.

As an alum of an all girls school myself, it is unconscionable that an all female school wouldn't support knowledge and education around reproductive rights.

Stay with the sticker Katie! Have any other students, faculty, or staff ever said or done anything that would be considered transgressive? Certainly. And yet Katie has been targeted. Sacred Heart is discriminating against Katie by stifling her. Sacred Heart needs to apologize and let the sticker stay.

Sacred Heart can do better than this. I stand with Kate, Planned Parenthood, and all Sacred Heart women who are not afraid to do what’s right.

I stand with Kate, planned parenthood and all the strong individuals who voice their dissent with the ridiculous stance that SH Greenwich has taken. I am a proud SH91st alumna with my mother and sister also graduating from SH 91st st, and both my parents serving on the board at 91st st for many years. This appalling news makes me question all that I have come to love and respect about the SH institution. Practice what you preach SH Greenwich and do what is right for freedom, community and respect for our fellow women, men and children!! -Alice Higgins class of 2000

As a Greenwich resident of 3 girls, I am outraged that this young woman cannot freely express herself at her school!

Teaching the girls to silence themselves does them & so many such a disservice.

While attending Sacred Heart in New York and Houston I learned such valuable lessons about love, acceptance, and support. I am now a teacher myself, and have found that role modeling is the best way to help my students love, accept, and support each other. No matter what.

This kind of closed minded thinking needs to stop.
