He had a tremendous impact on the school in his short tenure. His ability to implement an innovative and effective plan in the reduction of truancies is unparalleled at SCHS. This decision by CUSD, if they choose to stand by it, shows they are entirely out of touch with their constituents and unresponsive to individual campus cultures and needs.

You don't go from receiving the Governor's award for achievement in 2012 to being fired for performance issues in 2015. Sounds like a disagreement led to a good man being fired. Being a Marine, my guess is that Principal Halt chose to stand by an ethical decision and the Superintendent made him pay the price. Shame on the Superintendent.

Mr. Halt changed SCHS hugely. It won't be the same for the students that continue to go to SCHS over the year.

Principal Halt is an amazing guy and by far one of the best principals San Clemente has ever had. He is well respected and shows respect to everyone. San Clemente high school needs him as principal.
