As the godmother of Damien and knowing both the mom and the dad, I believe Damien is better off with the care of his mother Haley. Damien is a gifted but super sensitive child who's potential is unlocked when he feels at ease and his creativity is supported. I made the direct experience so many times with Damien, Haley, my daughter and myself. I never believed the dad is doing wrong to him intentionally. I just know his special needs are undoubtedly better managed but Haley and for that reason I would lovingly ask the dad to consider offering Damien an alternative experience with his mom for a year let's say to see the impact on this unbelievable high potential child. They both love Damien and may try to explore the best for him. May this process be one of reconciliation and love for Damien
