There has to be a better way to do this. We need to help those who need it, but we also need to keep citizens and businesses safe and approachable for customers.

I vote NO to the crown plaza for the homeless shelter, it’s over budget and going to cost us taxpayers a lot more in hazmat cleanup after the homeless move in.

How stupid to endanger citizens and put people out of business and drive down property values. You are going to destroy productive citizens for what? Put a homeless shelter in an area where it is not a burden on productive citizens and will not destroy the lives and businesses of those who have worked hard at making things better.

Small businesses are the back bone of this country's economy. We cannot allow anything (good intentioned or not) to jeopardize that. If Albuquerque cannot guarantee with a 100% certainty the potential for crime increase can be isolated/eliminated then the city needs to look for a different location and protect small businesses (which just so happens to fund the cities economy).

Placing homeless in areas like this will cause further issues. I visit a gym in this area, often times very early morning. I already feel I have to be ever so cautious. This will add more potential violence to this area. We need to help the local businesses first. The homeless epidemic is an issue. But who caused them this issue? Not siesta but most often they did themselves. Protect the tax paying hard working small businesses. Find some other solution.

I am against this. If you put them in this hotel, yes they will have a place to sleep and take a shower. What about eating, cleaning there cloths. who is going to fix a clogged toilet shower, Who is going to do repairs after water damage. Who is going to hold them accountable for the well being of the structure. Think about it. Not a good idea at all!!!!!

Business areas are not an ideal place for homeless camps/lodges, there are better areas with less risk to shoppers and businesses.

Praying for everyone involved in finding a safe environment for a new homeless shelter. God give guidance to those in charge. God bless.

The shelter should be located somewhere else. The Crown Plaza is not appropriate for the needs.

Regardless of the location I believe use of a hotel is an inappropriate option for a homeless shelter. It would be impossible to ensure security and be inordinately expensive to maintain.

ABQ has only failed and continued to make the problem worse, no better and this is yet another example of another failure to come...might be a failure to finally avoid for once

I believe the homeless do need a place to live but it should be away from businesses and family housing areas.
