There are other places and better ways of using a budget for these places for people who need it while helping our small business owners keep what they work so hard for safe.

This is the wrong place, wrong price and wrong building for the funds approved by voters. A smaller more modern facility built closer other homeless support places is a better idea. I hope you agree.

A within budget solution is desperately needed in a less central area of the city.

This area is already a breeding ground for crime, drugs, and trash. I realize that something needs to be done for the homeless people, but this area has long been a place, in this city, for the homeless to go, mainly because of the truck stops nearby. These businesses have a hard enough time, trying to "make it", without having a newly created, population of homeless people, who will not support the local businesses, but make it easier to rob, and steal from them. The Crown Plaza purchase is just too expensive, for this venture, and some other place, in this city, must be chosen.

The Plaza is not a good choice. A shelter is needed, but a shelter should more centrally located to the largest homeless population, which is the downtownish population . Additionally this location psoes a threat of safety to those using it. In the event of an OD or despaired feelings, bodies could be left for days or weeks before discovery. It also increases the risk to those in the immediate area.

I am not for the Crowne Plaza being a homeless shelter. There are plenty of other places that I am sure will not cost that much. W e already wasted money on the bus "art" project, which was something that should have went to the homeless issue instead.

Totally against this

This is not the solution Albuquerque is looking for. This will further hurt an already crime ridden area, as well as taxpayers by going 2 million over budget.

The business's in this area are already struggling enough due to the transient/drug addict problem. I understand the need for solutions but in this area I feel that it would make the problem worse, not bettter.

There is to much going on in this area as a business owner I have been robbed 2 times in past 3 weeks and have had to clean up human waste many times on my property this will make the situation here only worse and will force the sale and closures of my business also why would abq city give up gross tax from this busy hotel more money lost in long term

We have enough crime in the area.

I understand that nobody wants a homeless shelter in their neighborhood, but the crime in this area is already beyond the city's ability to manage.

I support the Gateway center near lomas, not a hotel to perpetuate the cycle of helplessness.

Although a new facility is much needed this is not it. To much money and not good area for it.
