Dont wait until your body is ruined, two simple blood tests can, diagnose this awful disease, a calcium and parathyroid taken at the same time. Would save the NHS millions spent on expensive scans.

Our doctors around the world need to get on board and provide surgery for this disease earlier. No more of this "wait and see" approach! No more misdiagnoses! The needless suffering and poor quality of life is incomprehensible in this modern day and age.

This isn't a petition. Petitions are addressed to organisations who have the power the power to change something.for a particular group. A petition needs an aim this one doesn't really. It's just a long moan written by an idiot. How many petitions have you seen that aren't addressed to an organization or individual? I hate the length of this so-called petition. It's a waste of time.

There needs to be more education and awareness! I had all the symptoms...was on meds fir each symptom however because my serum Calcium wasnt elevated Dr didn't test or refer me. I demanded answers after I suffered a femoral neck fracture ( I had severe osteoporosis for a very long time-Dr knew but never investigated why)

Pinson, AL I have put my health on the back burner for years as the wife of disabled spouse. And over the last few years I just figured I was becoming menopausal and feared I had fibromyalgia but I just didn't want to be diagnosed. I have a wonderful Endocrinologist who has helped me manage pituitary and thyroid issues over the years, so I am blessed to have her on my side in this Parathyroid journey. This disease is very hard on it's victims, and there are too many people who are suffering needlessly. It needs public awareness so that doctors will be more apt to test, diagnose and refer to surgery. We also need more doctors trained and experienced in Minimally Invasive Radioguided Parathyroid (MIRP) surgery.

I have recently been diagnoises with this disease, it needs recognition and for people to understand how debilitating it is, it's worse than depression as there is no talking therapy or anti depressants you can take to ease the pain or distress. Knowing the only cure is surgery, it's needs to be a condition that is understood

Just had my PTH adenoma removed last month at the Norman Parathyroid Clinic in Tampa Florida. I am a Canadian and had to pay for this operation personally as the Canadian endocrinologists/surgeons still want to "wait" till they can locate the adenoma with the sestamibi scan. I was told that I had probably had the large tumour for over ten years and I have suffered unnecessarily for that long.

Hoping to be on the other side in a few days time. Living my life once again free of all these symptons. Was lucky to be diagnosed quickly because of my severe osteoporosis and having fantastic GP.
