I've had this disease since 2011 & every doc I've been to are not familiar with the disease ..my PTH is 151 with calcium fluctuating between normal to low..it has been up into the 10's once..my Vit D has been low & after 2yrs got it up to normal range but at the same time my PTH went higher .. Crazy disease & docs need to study the parathyroid more closely.. Even had my Endo go as far to say that he no longer tests PTH on anyone cuz it is never normal..well having numerous kidney stones in both kidneys isn't either or the severe pain in my hips, weakness in my legs or vomiting & nausea everyday..grr

I willingly sign this if it can help as I know how awful it affects ones body and sucks the life out.

Hyperparathyroidism made me feel very ill. I had to go private as I was told by an endocrinologist that they would do nothing until I got worse and had osteoporosis and or kidney stones as it was I do have osteoporosis. I did not even get a bone density scan until the private surgeon asked my GP to order up a DEXA scan which I had after my privately done op.

I have just been diagnosed after about three years of awful symptoms, and had to leave my job because of it. Hoping and praying I get an operation soon and start to feel human again. It is the most debilitating disease I ever have encountered.

Recently been diagnosed with hyper parathyroidism. Seems I have had it for a long time after reading the list of symptoms. Was only made aware of this due to my daughter having a friend that had been diagnosed. Has to ask the docs to check it. Blood & urine tests all confirmed that I have this disease.

I've had so many symptoms, increasingly debilitating and suppressed by so many different medications! Waiting for blood test results and so hoping this is the cause. My mother had a single adenoma removed in her early 70s and is still going strong.
Please get the awareness about this to the public
