Suffering for 8 years undiagnosed, finally getting somewhere with the help of my endocrinologist. Normocalcemic Hyperparathyroid needs urgent discussion within the general practice and endocrinology communities to stop suffering.

I am trying to get the media involved...sent msgs to Samantha Abramson with local tv ...she replied and said she would look into it...but something tells me not.

I was told for almost 2 years it was the menopause, I eventually was taken to hospital for a brain scan for a suspected stroke or MS, eventually found I had high calcium and was diagnosed with phpt

I had to get scans and surgery in France after doctor took 2 years to diagnose, and there was an 8 month wait for a 1st endocrine consultant appointment

More recognition for Hyperparathyroidism!!

Please help bring awareness to this horrible illness that is destroying people's lives needlessly! A quick 30min surgery could change lives for years!! Stop the needless suffering by becoming aware of what high calcium can do to a person!!

It was quite a journey i was on as i was diagnosed by my primary dr. who sent me to chief of endocrinology and she wanted me come back in two years and my level was 11.0 and not feeling well....Thank God for NPC in Tampa....I am cured!

I was diagnosed with phpt in 2012 and I'm still suffering and see no end in sight! Dr's and endo's seem to have no idea how painful and soul destroying it is to live with this desease !

I had to wait four years for surgery after diagnosis because my endocrinologist wanted to watch and wait as I got sicker and sicker. Four years of my life spent feeling miserable for no reason other than the indifference of someone who was supposed to help me. It's unacceptable. Finally had surgery, and thankfully, I'm recovering from the damage done to my heart and my life by hyperparathyroidism.

As a current sufferer of this disease I went to the doctor who immediately diagnosed me with depression... I ended up having to go back ask for a referral and see someone privately just to be listened too.

I suffered with this horrible disease 8 years ago and now it's back again it takes away your life it needs more awareness so that we can get more understanding

This dibitating disease needs to be known about!!

I have suffered for over 5 years with primary hyperparathyroidisim and finally had a parathyroidectomy on the 5th Sept 2016. I feel alive and so much better !!

I am suffering with this disease and it is truely horrible, the length it takes to get diagnosedis beyond ridiculous. Many people will be suffering with this as it has that many symptoms that relate to other illnesses.

Awful condition... I am recently post surgery and am still recovering. At least 10!years of my life has been put on hold because of it. Please sign!!
