We have been a seasonal resident in Campbellford for over 45 yrs as a seasonal property holder. We did not frequent our property during winter months and our delivery charge is higher than our electrical usage. We own a home in Richmond Hill with all appliances, lights etc my 2 to 3 month billing for that period is one third of my Campbellford billing. ??????

Chiarelli is an out and out liar, how can a smart mter save us money when the lowest price per kw is the same as what the price was for anytime use prior to the smart meters. Then there are two prices higher.

Ontario can no longer keep up with the fraud of hydro electricity. Hydro used to be known as the people's utility. Now? The corporate investor's utility. How long before someone goes postal? Seems to me government/corporations are backing the consumer into a corner. There will be repercussions at some point, and rightfully so.

As soon as hydro one would not let me call in my numbers any more, my hydro bill started going up again and I know for a fact that I'm using less hydro now than I was three months ago!

I think for every 1% they raise hydro rates ...the people that be should take a 1% paycut

My hydro bill is killing me. In spite of installing low watt bulbs and leds. My monthly bill this winter is averaging over $ 250.00. This is taking food off my table. I am retired and on a fixed income, increases like these are unfair!!

I don't understand why the rates are so high, they choose high, low and mid peak to suit their needs ie. Winter high peak from 7-11 am and 5-7 pm they know we are getting ready for work etc. And dinner time is also high, does this mean I should get my kids ready before 7 am and cook dinner after 7 pm so that my bill is lower???? This month my bill was higher than previous month, nothing has changed in my home or the temperature, and we do use our propane fireplace, I don't think that any reason can justify a 500.00 increase. My equal billing is another thing, to be able to afford hydro I got on the equal billing which is to be evaluated quarterly to ensure charges are being paid, but recently they have changed my equal monthly billing 3 times in three months, last I checked quarterly and monthly were two different timelines. I can't justify the robbery on hydro one's part, it's disgustingly disappointing.
