Dear Board, as a resident of Conestoga Valley, retired educator from CV, grandmother I am asking you to consider a hybrid model to begin the year. I attended the Board meeting where you voted 9 to 0 on students all returning to school. You did not discuss or consider the proposed hybrid model at that meeting. I would have liked to hear discussion on hybrid instead of discourse on all students returning. Signed Kathryn Slick

Please make the effort to develop a hybrid option. If the school year needs to start later, then do it. The risks of bringing back the full staff and almost all the students to 5 full days of in person instruction are too great!

I graduated from Conestoga Valley in 2014. I have 3 sisters that all also attended CV, and one will be back this year to both learn and teach as a student teacher with Millersville University. I work at LGH now and am in nursing school, and from what I have learned and experienced since March 2020, it is safest to have the least number of students, teachers, and faculty as possible in one building to prevent the spread of Covid-19. I encourage you all to reconsider the current reopening plan for this fall in order to prioritize the safety of everyone involved with CV school district. Please give families the option to choose a hybrid learning experience.
