Cars have the same difficulty turning onto 244/12 from Lincolntown Avenue. The 30 MPH speed limit only begins at Triangle Park and is rarely observed.

Willernie/Mahtomedi is already a beautiful space. This makes it even more of an attractive place for commerce and dining

I travel that road often on the bike and car.

I ride this area often and always feel a little unsafe.

As former residents and often visitors to this corridor we couldn't agree more with the intent of this petition. Doing this will increase the value of all nearby properties.

Makes sense and is the right thing to do.

Anything that can be done to ensure the safety of walkers and bikers should be done.

Please improve this particular section of road, now unsafe for cyclists and pedestrians.

I believe in the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. Creating this Greenway Project would ensure safety for pedestrians where currently, they do not feel safe. Additionally, it will allow students to be able to bike to school which has numerous positives physically and mentally.

I am an avid cyclist from Oakdale and I often use this road to get from the northern end of the Vento Trail to the Gateway Trail. Bike friendly safety improvements are needed and would be greatly appreciated!

An important plan to improve safety in this area, and to encourage bikers to explore the beauty around it.

I applaud your effort and will certainly sigh the petition. I would like, however, to coordinate this effort, with the bigger picture of HWY 244 / Mahtomedi Avenue from the Triangle Park, North toward Dellwood. That is far narrower, has numerous places with broken old partial sidewalks and no shoulder at all in many places. It has been truly awful to travel by foot or bicycle for the 28 years I have lived here. As you probably know, there is an ongoing dispute between the State DOT, Washington County and the City of Mahtomedi, all of whom seem to do everything possible to avoid taking responsibility for improving that corridor. I strongly support efforts to promote safe travel options for people using all means of transportation.

This intersection is dangerous for pedestrians to cross in the crosswalk. It takes waiting for multiple cars to pass by to cross the road.

I drive this route every day. I won’t currently use this section to run or bike because of how unsafe it is. Let’s make it happen to make it more pedestrian friendly for all that live in the area.

Grew up in Mahtomedi with friends in Wedgewood... remember many dicey bike rides on 12. This would be a great thing for the communities.
