Please do not remove them. Unless you live here, do not interfere with the historic, asthetic and intinsic nature of the parts that make up Hurst.

Absolutely no need to replace them. They are aestheticaly pleasing and, from local authority and finance angle, inexpensive to maintain.

aste of tx payers money. Refurbish them to a high standard. Thought Hurstpierpoint High Street was in a conservtion area. Don't lamp-posts come under this restriction? Leave them alone except to refurbish.

I agree with Nicks comment, cats eyes are invaluable on those foggy mornings and create far less light pollution.

Instead of changing the street lamps perhaps we could have the cats eyes back on the village roads that used to have them up to 2011.

The lights we have are quite satisfactory and perhaps the money saved in NOT replacing them could be allocated to the highways dept to fix our appalling road surfaces.

Please don't change the lamp posts & ruin the character of OUR lovely, historic high street.

The existing lighting is fine and part of the historic fabric. Replacing them with more utilitarian lighting is a waste of money and destroying part of the village character

"if it ain't broke why fix it?" especially if by doing so the aesthetic value is destroyed.
