I have been hearing from hunters across every county who are seeing the same decline in our local herds that I see in my own woods. This decision ignores the reality on the ground and we are working to get these concerns in front of the people at the department who need to listen.

The response to this fight has been overwhelming and it proves that I am not the only one deeply worried about the future of our deer herd. Seeing this level of engagement gives me hope that the department will finally listen to the local hunters who actually walk these woods.

TOTAL BOGUS. KDFW needs to stop trying to ruin our hunting season. Keep the zones like they are.
bad choice by the state. way too much pressure on the deer already.
6 extra days is just too much. we need to let the herd recover or there wont be anything left for our kids to hunt in a few years.
Please listen to the actual hunters. we are the ones out there every day and we know what we see. this is a huge mistake.
The deer population really is struggling in our county. You can tell just by looking at the woods. Leave the dates alone.

Seen less and less deer every single year. Stop pushing for more days when the numbers are down.
