As Lionsgate confirmed, the last Hunger Games movie is going to be split into two parts. We believe this is a bad decision due to several reasons. The Mockingjay book is less than 500 pages and there is no need to split the movie. It is not like Harry Potter where splitting the last movie into two parts was understandable. Even fans did not like it when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was split into two parts. Since the book is less than 500 pages, we feel that the movie is going to drag in the first part and it will not be as good as we wanted it to be. We also feel that splitting Mockingjay into two parts will ruin the franchise since the 3rd book of the trilogy was the weakest compared to the first 2.  As fans of the Hunger Games, we were disappointed finding out about the decision. We don't see a logical reason other than money for why the movie will split into two parts. We feel that the last movie of the trilogy will be a lot more successful and will end strong if it is only one movie instead of splitting it. If you feel the same way and believe it should not be split, please sign this petition. It will be emailed to Lionsgate.
