Universal Pictures is currently making a movie of the popular musical version of the classic story "Les Miserables". The musical itself is longer than the typical 2.5 hour length most feature films are adapted to fit into. I think the experience of this musical would be ruined if it were crammed into a 2.5 hour length. Personally, I would not mind sitting through a longer film, say 3 to 3.5 hours, if it meant getting a vastly better product. Classics like The Sound of Music are much longer than 2.5 hours, so why not Les Miserables?
If you agree, please sign the petition and pass it along to your friends! We need Universal and all the theater chains to know that enough people care about this to make it worth it. Make your voice heard, sign the petition!
"Will you join in our crusade?"
The silence from the studio remains firm so we must increase the pressure. Post this link to your Facebook page and text three friends who love musicals to get them on board. We need to show them that audiences want the full story rather than an edited version.

The momentum behind this effort proves that audiences are hungry for the full experience of the musical. Post the link on Facebook today to ensure Universal Pictures understands we refuse to accept a shortened version of this story.

SERIOUSLY. Stop trying to shorten art for the casual viewers. Give us the whole story or dont bother at all.

Les Mis is epic for a reason. If they cut songs or parts of the story it wont be the same at all. keep it long.
