My son has autism and while all the other school systems have been in school he has been left behind. No social groups, no teachers to understand and help him, constant noise and things going on around the house. We all know simple math 99.99% survival for the majority of the population. Get back in school, help these kids. They need socialization

As a grandma, I have seen one grandchild excelling in a school system that offers in person learning and one grandchild in HSE who is struggling not only academically, but also just struggling with the confines of home everyday! Their dispositions are like night and day!! KIDS NEED TO BE IN CLASS!

The effect virtual school is having on my children’s mental health can no longer be dismissed. They need to be in person. I absolutely empathize with those whose kids’ health prevents them from attending in person, and I respect the decision of those who have chosen to remain virtual. But as a parent of children who are showing alarming signs of depression, I must advocate for my kids. Please, vote to bring our kids back to in person.

My son ended his 8th grade year (in a school he had attended since junior kindergarten) and started his freshman year at HSE virtually. He NEEDS to be back in person so he can get involved and make new friends!

My two third grade students are not suffering academically by virtual learning. They ARE struggling, DAILY, with the inability to have questions answered by their instructors in real-world time. They are also greatly missing the ability to maintain social interaction with their peers.

We have been patient long enough. For months, our kids have been stuck at home behind a screen with zooms here and there and it’s a joke. Enough is enough. Some will remain virtual and that’s fine, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the students should continue to suffer and fall behind. Get out those masks and fire up those buses!
