I'm against all the traffic chaos and disruption. Please do not spoil such a Hampstead.

Stop this proposed destruction of Hampstead village and the surrounding areas. The work is planned to take 9-10 YEARS! With large HGV vehicles taking away spoils from these sites, has anyone worked out how many thousands of journeys this will be? Who is going to pay for the extra damage to the roads and foundations of building on the planned vehicle routes? This project is mad, just to save a few people 10 minutes on a train journey to Birmingham!

I support the petition to protect Hampstead Village and its surroundings from the chronic disruption and permanent change that HS2 will have on the community.

I am very concerned about the impact of this TOTALLY UNECESSARY project not only on Hampstead but on the rest of Camden. Quite apart from the devastating effect I can think of ANY NUMBER of things the EXTREMELY HIGH COST could be spent on to the BENEFIT of society!

London needs to keep villages and the community spirit which it has at present.

Perhaps we should be finding a better use for this money for other worthwhile projects, or simply reducing the deficit by not spending it. £50billion for a 20 minute time saving is an expensive journey that the country cannot currently afford.

Stop digging everywhere up and upsetting people for minimal (and very debatable) gain. Nobody wants or needs to get to Birmingham 10 minutes faster.

this is a seriously bad project. There are much more important things to do.
