DOGS & CHILDREN left in vehicles during even mildly warm weather are at risk for deadly heatstroke and yet, they are defenseless in protecting themselves from this situation. We believe the citizens of Halifax Regional Municipality (Nova Scotia) can start something BIG! While laws are in effect for those who make these offenses, there is not enough public outcry to push for convictions. We believe offenders who put pets & children at risk of Vehicular Heatstroke should be made ACCOUNTABLE through enforceable fines, penalties, cruelty and abuse investigations and other LEGAL and punitive actions by government. Please sign if you want your government to enforce/adjust the current laws to protect these innocent children and pets!

One hundred people have signed on to demand safety for children and pets. This is exhausting work but seeing your names pile up gives me the resolve to keep pushing forward.

Needs to be way stricter consequences. these poor things have no way to get out on their own. heartless.
Its 2018 people. how are we still reading stories about this happening? break the window if you have to. so sick of hearing about poor dogs dying in parking lots.
Total common sense. Anyone who leaves a kid or a dog in a hot car deserves a massive fine. Zero excuses.
glad someone is finally speaking up about this. we need real laws that actually punish people.

my heart breaks every time i hear this. if you cant take them with you into the store just leave them at home. its not rocket science.
